Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
The Senior Planner, Client Operations will play a pivotal role in providing logistical support for DPS clients external to Delta Air Lines. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset to drive success, including excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating students with simulator events and qualified instructors, ensuring that all training footprints are updated when required and in compliance with FAA regulations and client requirements.
- Manage and assign student simulator events for client students, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing conflicts.
- Schedule and notify pilot instructors of assigned events, providing them with the necessary information to prepare for training sessions.
- Solve scheduling issues and provide last-minute changes as needed to instructor schedules, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiently operate Delta Air Lines scheduling tool to ensure student training events are documented properly, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Work closely with Program Managers to establish class schedules based on simulator and instructor availability, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Communicate simulator availability and assignments with external partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Interact with the Delta Flight Operations Planning Team to coordinate flight simulator availability, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
- Provide scheduling back-up to other DPS planners as needed, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and support.
- Identify and create new or improved processes to support changes in the operation, driving innovation and efficiency.
