Key Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and execute live productions of live, remote games, ensuring accurate documentation of assigned events.
• Collaborate with producers and event managers to determine the creative and technical direction of live remote game broadcasts.
• Work with technical teams to integrate all elements of a broadcast, including graphics, enhanced technology components, switcher effects, and composite music.
• Provide guidance to schools and colleges regarding all aspects of TV production, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Liaise with school production partners to provide timely feedback on student-produced content.
• Visit school production partner campuses to evaluate equipment, discuss and recommend industry-standard production techniques, and provide guidance to school administrative staff.
• Conduct research on teams, players, storylines, and trends to stay informed about each assigned game/sport.
• Provide guidance to live talent before broadcasts and direct them as needed during broadcasts.
• Make on-the-spot editorial changes to coverage plans as unexpected circumstances and opportunities arise.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during assigned live remote games.
• Ensure accurate embedding of advertisements and promotions for all assigned productions.
• Participate in the development of concepts and content for assigned games to reach viewers and increase market penetration and viewership.
• Maintain open communication with external resources, including talent, production companies, and equipment providers.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, broadcasting, or a related field).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of live game directing processes and technical equipment.
• Proven live remote game directing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and think critically.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of the financial implications of directing live remote games.
• Familiarity with popular culture and trends.
• Knowledge of market positioning and strategies for assigned games.
• Travel required (approximately 10-20% of the time).
