As a DAS Video Chat Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting guests with disabilities, providing information, and resolving issues related to accessibility services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive Support: Respond to guest inquiries related to accessibility services, providing information and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with guests through video calls, chats, and phone interactions, adapting to various communication styles and needs.
  • Assessing Needs: Utilize suggestive challenges to determine the level of support required for guests with different disabilities (e.g., hearing, mobility, visual, mental).
  • Situational Guides: Evaluate situational guides to gain a comprehensive understanding of guest challenges and provide tailored support.
  • Single Point of Contact: Serve as a single point of contact for guests with disabilities, providing support before, during, and after their visit.
  • Collaboration: Work with availability teams to determine which services best align with specific guest needs and challenges.
  • Resourcefulness: Recommend accessibility services and resources available to guests to enhance their experience.
  • Decision-Making: Make informed decisions while understanding when to escalate concerns to facilitators, working leads, or salaried leaders.
  • Integrity: Maintain integrity in escalated interactions and seek guidance in challenging conversations.
  • General Support: Provide general resort information and scheduling support based on guest needs.
  • Alternative Solutions: Offer alternative solutions and answers for guests who may not meet the requirements for the Disability Access Service.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Disney Knowledge: Familiarity with Disney properties, products, and services, as well as exceptional guest service skills.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated technical abilities and computer proficiency, with the capacity to learn and work with various systems and applications, including Microsoft Office Instruments and Guest Service Suite.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Communication: Willingness to ask discovery questions to secure important information from guests and determine which accessibility services are the best fit.
  • Video Interaction: Comfortable with being on camera during video visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Disability Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or accessibility needs.
  • Related Experience: Experience in related roles, such as Guest Services, Guest Relations, or Web Help Desk.
  • Disney Knowledge: Increased knowledge of Disney parks and guest tools (e.g., Disneyland App and My Disney Experience).
  • Bilingual: Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Walt Disney World Hotel: Familiarity with services for guests with disabilities at the Walt Disney World Hotel.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Live Connect, Guest Service Suite, MDX, VINCENT, Zendesk, or Avaya is a plus.
