Job Duties: • Receive and transcribe verbal interpretations from physicians within departmental timeframes. • Verify accuracy of patient information and input data into appropriate records, reports, and computer systems. • Proofread transcribed reports for correct spelling, accuracy, punctuation, and grammar, making necessary changes without altering sentence meaning. Essential Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • One year of transcription or medical setting experience. • Intermediate computer skills. • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and legal terminology (desired). • Medical transcription certification (desired).
