Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration of key seller connections, including monthly and quarterly business audits with payment card organizations
 - Gather and analyze data for senior management presentations, including regular payment metrics and business performance insights
 - Perform daily examinations that may impact business performance and decisioning, collaborating with various professionals and stakeholders as needed
 - Learn, maintain, and leverage automated reporting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
 - Utilize data modeling to demonstrate performance of business KPIs and identify areas for improvement
 - Assist with the resolution and monitoring of payment card network compliance issues
 - Provide project support and guidance to other team members, reviewing and adjusting/approving their project plans and decisions on a case-by-case basis
 - Meet impromptu demands and complete special tasks as required
 - Acquire new skill sets as needed to support the evolving needs of the Payments team and Financial Services Division
 
Breaking Down Key Responsibilities
The Payments Analyst role is divided into four key areas of focus, each accounting for 25% of the job responsibilities:
- Key Examination/Critical Thinking: Understand business operations, identify process and organizational improvements, and design and ensure execution of financial division targets
 - Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop annual private-label credit card budget for all products and business lines, lead financial forecasting capability, and make suitable recommendations
 - Project Management: Own and manage projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results, develop and execute detailed project plans, and provide project support and guidance to other team members
 - Business Performance Evaluation: Assess financial and operational/quality consequences of new projects against predetermined objectives, determine if projects should be implemented, and make recommendations to senior management
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, business administration)
 - Financial services experience, preferably in payment processing or a related field
 - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data using tools like Microsoft Excel and Tableau
 - Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis
 - Experience with project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity
 - Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
 
Preferred Capabilities
