Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging music lesson plans for students in grades K-5, aligning with state and national standards.
• Create a supportive and inclusive online learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for music.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive educational experience.
• Utilize technology to enhance instruction, including digital tools and multimedia resources.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues through regular updates and progress reports.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in music education and online teaching.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Music Education or a related field.
• Minnesota Teacher License: Elementary Music (or the ability to obtain by August 29, 2023).
• Experience in teaching music to students in grades K-5, preferably in an online or virtual setting.
• Strong knowledge of music theory, pedagogy, and curriculum design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced online environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Music Education or a related field.
• Experience with online teaching platforms and digital tools.
• Familiarity with project-based learning and competency-based education.
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including English language learners and students with special needs.
