Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Online Instructor - Biology to join our team of dedicated educators. This is a part-time position that offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. As an Online Instructor - Biology, you will be responsible for teaching courses in biology and related disciplines, developing engaging lesson plans, and providing exceptional support to our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach online courses in biology and related disciplines, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
 - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
 - Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
 - Stay current with developments in the field of biology and related disciplines, and incorporate relevant research and best practices into your teaching.
 - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and other educational initiatives.
 - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in online education.
 - Support the institution's mission and vision, and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies.
 
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A Master's degree in biology or a biology-related discipline, or a Master's degree or higher in a medical or health-related discipline (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., D.D.S.).
 - A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in a biological or life science area, including coursework in areas such as agricultural sciences, anatomy, biochemistry, biology, bioengineering, bioinformatics, biology/science education, biomedical sciences, biosciences, biotechnology, botany, cancer biology, cell biology, conservation-wildlife/plant/animal, exercise science, exercise physiology, evolutionary biology, embryology, entomology, environmental science, environmental biology, ecology, genetics, immunology, limnology, mammology, marine sciences, marine biology, medical sciences, microbiology - soil/medical/veterinary, molecular biology, mycology, physiology, neurobiology, neuroscience, nutritional sciences, ornithology, pathology, pathophysiology, parasitology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, physical therapy, physiology, plant and animal sciences, public health epidemiology/infectious disease/toxicology, veterinary sciences, virology, zoology.
 - Previous online teaching experience is highly desirable.
