Job Summary
As a Data Scientist with Amazon's TA team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and transformation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, product managers, and software developers, to identify business problems, develop analytical solutions, and implement data-driven decision making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with business leaders, product managers, and software developers to define business processes and provide analytical support.
- Analyze complex datasets: Use programming languages, such as Python or R, to analyze complex datasets and develop data visualizations to communicate insights.
- Design and implement data pipelines: Develop and implement efficient and automated data pipelines to support client-facing reporting and business intelligence.
- Automate business processes: Develop and implement machine learning models and automation solutions to streamline business operations.
- Communicate insights: Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: A four-year degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
- Programming experience: 3+ years of experience with programming languages, such as SQL, Python, or R, and data analysis tools and techniques.
- Data analysis experience: 3+ years of experience with data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- Theoretical models: Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree: A graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
- ML or data scientist experience: Experience in a machine learning or data scientist role with a large technology organization.
