Job Summary

As a Principal Cybersecurity Consultant - GRC, you will play a critical role in providing technical and strategic guidance to internal and external stakeholders in the area of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). You will leverage your expertise to develop and implement strategies that reduce cybersecurity risks, ensure compliance with relevant risk management frameworks, and promote a culture of security excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GRC Leadership: Provide technical and strategic guidance to internal and external stakeholders in the area of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant risk management frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO, etc.) and develop strategies to reduce cybersecurity risks.
  • Security Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk Assessment: Facilitate risk assessment workshops and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure security objectives are met.
  • Policy Development: Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Innovation: Monitor new cybersecurity technologies and trends.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to technical teams and personnel.
  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents and coordinate incident response.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Security, or Cybersecurity.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting and/or GRC, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Risk Management: Experience with risk management frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO, etc.).
  • Communication: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Organizational: Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience in a specific industry, such as finance, healthcare, or government.
