The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services team is seeking an experienced Professional Services Account Manager to manage working relationships with Federal Government organizations, develop long-term sales strategies, and execute those strategies within key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Long-Term Customer Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with Federal Government organizations to understand their business drivers, customer portfolio, and develop a long-term Professional Services sales strategy.
  • Engage with Customers: Build strong relationships with customers, understand their business needs, and identify opportunities to drive business value through AWS solutions.
  • Demand Creation and Deal Structuring: Create demand, shape deals, and develop business cases to support opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiations and Management: Negotiate contracts, develop Statements of Work, and manage ongoing professional services program delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Innovation and Scoping Workshops: Lead workshops with customers to educate them on AWS services and translate those into clear business value propositions.
  • Executive Relationships: Act as a single point of contact for customer executives, developing deep, trustful relationships.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience selling transformative consulting services to the Federal Government of Canada.
  • Working Knowledge: Extensive working knowledge of Federal Government consulting contract vehicles and related RFx activities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Executive Customer Relationships: Established executive customer relationships.
  • Contract and Statement of Work Development: Experience with contract and statement of work development.
  • Cloud Value Proposition: Working knowledge of the Cloud value proposition, ideally with AWS.
  • Pre-Sales and Sales Experience: Prior experience in Pre-Sales and/or Sales of Cloud-based IT Solutions.
  • Analytical and Creative Skills: Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in meeting customer needs.
  • Large-Scale Enterprise IT Projects: A proven track record of positioning and leading procurement on large-scale enterprise IT projects.
