About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Remittance Processing Associate I to join our 3rd shift team, working on-site from Tuesday to Saturday, 9 PM to 5:30 AM. As a key member of our Remittance Processing team, you will play a vital role in providing lockbox solutions that scan, import, index, and archive billions of text-based documents, including checks, payment remittances, returns, and statements, for financial institutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing customer payments for processing
  • 10-key data entry of account number, invoice numbers, amounts, etc.
  • Performing research and adjustment activities
  • Balancing credits and debits within transactions
  • Performing MICR line repair
  • Working under deadlines and in a team environment
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

About the Team

Our Remittance Processing team is a dynamic and collaborative group that works together to provide exceptional service to our clients. We utilize daily online check processing operations and imaging systems to recognize and capture the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) on checks for correct routing and posting. Our systems also aid in creating cash letters and lists required to forward checks to other banks.

What You Will Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to lift or move up to 20 pounds
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients
  • Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques required to verify and distribute computer output
  • Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques required to process client transactions and produce output through computer operations
  • Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques involved in item processing
  • Knowledge of client specifications for remittance processing
  • Knowledge of off-line and peripheral equipment operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge to identify errors in calculations and balances

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having the following qualifications will be an added bonus:
  • General knowledge of Remittance
  • Banking experience
  • Data Entry experience
  • Payment processing experience (especially check handling)

Compensation

The pay range for this full-time position is $15.40 - $27.45, reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
