Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data-Driven Projects: Direct the delivery of Walgreens Health data and insights drives and projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Data ETL and Warehousing: Support long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities to meet Walgreens Health reporting and analysis requirements.
- Design and Implement Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and deploy layered datasets and data pipelines to support reporting and analysis projects.
- Data Modeling and Pre-processing: Create data modeling and pre-processing rules for populating valid and actual data models attached to report-specific working tables.
- Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading: Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal and external sources.
- Data Profiling and Analysis: Perform data profiling and analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets.
- Automation of Data Processes: Develop internal tools for automating data-related activities, such as data processing, QA, and data validation.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics.
- SQL and ETL Experience: Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts.
- Data Warehousing Experience: Experience designing and deploying logically separated data environments using ETL/ELT services, such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- BI Technology Experience: Experience providing concept ownership and presenting tool-agnostic semantic data layer upgrades connected with BI technology platforms, such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners.
- Financial Decision-Making Experience: At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in a work environment.
- Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of direct supervision, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership experience.
