About the Role
The Senior Analyst, Trade Credit is a strategic and innovative partner within our controllership organization, focused on supporting business growth and excellence in the Order to Cash (OTC) tower, specifically related to our Pro Trade Credit business. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, credit teams, and treasury.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration (5%): Develop trust and collaboration with internal and external partners; understand technical needs for tackling business problems.
- Operational Duties (80%): Execute tasks related to OTC tower delivery; work with other teams to provide or receive information; support internal and external customers; create regular reports for leadership; identify and present possible improvements to upper management; execute month-end/year-end processes; monitor and work towards meeting KPIs and SLAs.
- Project Management & Team Support (10%): Work with project teams and business partners to complete project goals; prioritize assignments and ensure quality and accuracy of work.
- Skill Building & Professional Development (5%): Seek knowledge on new tools and technologies (e.g., analytics, intelligent automation, robotics); participate in continuous improvement of financial shared services processes and tools.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- The ability to work independently and complete work on schedule within a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software programs.
- A thorough understanding of accounting and finance principles, statistical methodology, GAAP, and GAAS.
- Experience with data analytics and data visualization.
- Familiarity with innovative technologies like RPA and Machine Learning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
