Job Description

As a Principal Software Development Engineer in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Group, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, and more. You'll work in a dynamic, modern agile environment with the excitement of a start-up, backed by the financial stability of a Fortune 100 company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for complex cloud-native services
  • Take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division
  • Define and develop software for tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of OCI services
  • Push boundaries and take calculated risks to continuously drive value to stakeholders

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in cloud service development on a modern IaaS environment
  • A natural excitement for building complex, highly distributed, and reliable cloud-native services
  • Understanding of current technologies and trends in modern cloud-native service design

  • Strong software development skills, with expertise in languages relevant to cloud infrastructure development

Compensation and Benefits

Oracle offers a competitive salary range for this role, from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum, depending on experience and location. You'll also be eligible for bonus and equity, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
