Job Summary
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for guiding products from conception to launch by connecting the technical vision and specific solutions needed to solve business and customer problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Technology and Business, to describe and manage the solution of a specific product or initiative, while also coordinating and communicating between different workstreams. Your expertise in synthesizing business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into requirements will be essential in driving the success of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common goals.
 - Own and prioritize the long-term (6+ months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure success.
 - Leverage modern architecture and great design to identify problem-solution fit, evaluating trade-offs and negotiating requirements to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers and business.
 - Create and use compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders, including vision, roadmaps, features/epics, progress updates, and other relevant documents.
 - Understand the current and future state architecture, evaluating and decomposing user needs into technical features and stories to ensure that our products are aligned with our business strategy.
 - Identify and measure KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining the roadmap as the data dictates, to ensure that our products are meeting their intended goals and objectives.
 - Coach and mentor other Product Managers, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow and develop in their roles.
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in product management, with at least 5 years of experience in the field. You will also need to have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience translating features into consumer or associate-facing products. Additionally, you will need to have at least 5 years of experience managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery and leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions, with a strong understanding of how to leverage modern architecture and great design to identify problem-solution fit.
 - Knowledge of multiple functional areas, such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing, to ensure that you can work effectively with cross-functional teams.
 - Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure that you can effectively communicate your vision and goals to others.
 - Insurance industry experience, with a strong understanding of the trends and challenges facing the industry, to ensure that you can develop products and services that meet the needs of our customers and business.
 - High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and mentor other Product Managers, to ensure that you can lead and develop high-performing teams.
 - Agile certifications, such as SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgile, or PMI-ACP, to ensure that you have a strong understanding of agile methodologies and can apply them in a practical way.
