Key Responsibilities
- Providing activities of daily living (ADLs) to nursing home residents and other patients in accordance with individualized care plans
- Documenting care provided and reporting changes in resident status to shift supervisors
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintaining a reliable shift history and demonstrating a professional, team-player attitude
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed as a STNA with connectRN, you should possess:
- A current license or credential to work as a CNA in the state you are applying to
- Experience working in long-term care or similar care settings
- A professional team-player attitude and a commitment to maintaining a reliable shift history
- The ability to lift 25 or more pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with electronic medical records and point-of-care systems
- Certifications in specialized areas, such as dementia care or wound care
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- Experience working in hospice, home health, or assisted living settings
