Job Highlights and Responsibilities
As a Sustainment Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing field performance metrics and data to inform Logistics and Sustainment Engineering (LSE) and Program leadership decisions, driving continuous improvement and optimization of the Sniper ATP. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining data visualization environments to provide actionable insights into field performance
- Conducting data and trend analysis to support contract metrics and program goals
- Collaborating on spares/replenishment procurement, repairs tracking, CDRL generation/support, and shipping/receiving activities
- Analyzing contract financial data on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Creating interactive data analytics dashboards to measure and improve operational performance
- Presenting thorough and detailed reports to identify areas of opportunity and drive future decision-making
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master's degree
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Experience tracking and reporting contractual metrics
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, charts, macros, pivot tables)
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to interface with a variety of information technology applications
- Ability to review data and statuses and derive trends
- Sustainment experience or experience supporting general sustainment activities
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:
- Experience in supply chain management
- Experience in financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of Asset Management System (AMS)
- Basic understanding of repair parts management and sustainment contracts
