Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer II to join our team, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems and applications. This role will also be responsible for managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, ensuring secure access to our organization's infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, IAM, and security compliance, with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain complex IT systems, including operating systems, applications, and associated hardware and software components.
- Implement and optimize virtualization technologies such as VMware and Amazon EC2.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application deployments and support.
- Manage and maintain monitoring and observability tools like Zabbix, DataDog, ELK, Cloudwatch, and PrismaCloud.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems, ensuring secure access to internal and external resources using tools such as Okta, Active Directory, and CyberArk.
- Enforce access control policies and manage authentication processes (MFA, SSO) to ensure compliance with HIPAA and company standards.
- Monitor and review access logs, perform audits, and respond to IAM-related incidents.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage access for employees, vendors, and external users, implementing IP restrictions and other security controls as necessary.
- Ensure systems and processes adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory frameworks relevant to a public company.
- Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and maintain a secure environment for all systems and users.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, IT operations, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, virtualization technologies, and complex applications (AWS, VMware, Linux, Microsoft Windows).
- Proficiency with IAM concepts, authentication, and PAM tools such as Okta, Active Directory, and CyberArk.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, VMware, AWS, CISSP, or other security certifications).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

Compensation and Benefits
