Job Summary

As an Aide II Title I-C, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide one-on-one and group support to students who are eligible for assistance under the current year grant. Your responsibilities will include identifying students in need of support, administering assessments, and documenting progress. Key Responsibilities

  • Student Support: Identify eligible students needing assistance by teacher referral and other student performance indicators. Provide one-on-one and group support to students as needed.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Administer formal assessments of students under the supervision of certificated personnel. Document students' involvement and progress in tutoring activities and submit reports as required.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Confer with classroom teachers, counselors, and students to formulate educational plans for qualifying students. Maintain regular and timely contact with students, teachers, or counselors and document contact as required.
  • Attendance and Progress Tracking: Determine, on a regularly scheduled basis, if there are attendance problems. Follow up with parents, if needed, and work with students, counselors, teachers, or parents to prepare a plan for improvement.
  • Organizational and Administrative Tasks: Coordinate book distribution programs as required. Maintain confidentiality of students, staff, school business, materials, and information.
  • Professional Development: Attend training sessions and/or workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with the public, students, staff, and parents.
  • Technical Skills: Operate current office technology as appropriate.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely, regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-secondary education in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with students or in an educational setting is highly valued.
