Job Summary: Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team in Albany, GA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in designing and maintaining a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that meets the needs of all children.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve center goals, including enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement.
  • Communicate daily with families regarding student progress, needs, and achievements, fostering a sense of partnership and support.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, with a passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a positive impact on young lives.
  • A genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to pass a state-required criminal background check, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all children and staff.
