Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team in Clearwater, FL. As an integral part of our education team, you will work closely with teachers to develop and implement engaging activities for preschool children, promote parent involvement, and contribute to the overall success of our programs. This is a 100% remote role, offering flexibility and autonomy in your work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to design and implement approved curricula in the classroom, aligning with educational objectives and performance standards.
  • Guide and facilitate activities for preschool children, including daily routines, field trips, and play-based learning experiences.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Write weekly observations and assessments to track children's progress and identify areas for support.
  • Engage with families to promote parent involvement, provide updates on children's progress, and solicit parent observations.
  • Assist in conducting home visits and parent conferences to discuss children's individual development and progress.
  • Participate in staff training, meetings, and board and parent meetings as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to established policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Credentials

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • A National Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (FCCPC) for Pre-school or Infant/Toddler Endorsement preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field highly regarded.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
