Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Teach a range of social studies subjects, including history, geography, civics, and economics
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and best practices
• Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in High School Social Studies (Comprehensive Social Studies 7-12 or Integrated Social Studies 7-12)
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching social studies in a high school setting
• Familiarity with project-based learning and technology integration
• Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment
