About the Role

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant, you'll play a vital role in our CarePlus/Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, ensuring that patients receive the care and support they need. You'll work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, ensuring compliance and patient safety
  • Making outbound calls and faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
  • Providing excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Working collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care and support
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a specialty pharmacy setting
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • High levels of reliability, accuracy, and professionalism, with a strong customer focus and team orientation

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Specialty pharmacy experience, with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of specialty patients
  • Call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Prescription adjudication experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues

Our typical pay range for this role is between $17.00 and $27.90 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications.

Location and Schedule

This role is based in our Atlanta, GA office, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 7:30pm, with no weekends or holidays required.

Education and Experience
