The Role: Customer Service Representative

As our Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of Rust-Oleum for sales representatives, distributors, and dealers. Your mission will be to handle any challenge that comes your way, ensuring orders stay on track and on time. You'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to provide top-notch service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to sales representatives, distributors, and dealers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Learn and adhere to Rust-Oleum's customer service standards, ensuring consistency and high-quality interactions
  • Utilize SAP or other CRM systems to access customer information, process orders, and manage inventory
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and logistics, to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Analyze and resolve complex customer problems, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and diplomacy
  • Multi-task with a sense of urgency, prioritizing tasks to meet daily metrics and performance goals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing insights to support business decisions

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of customer service/support experience in a B2B or similar environment
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • SAP or other CRM experience an added plus, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to handle interactions in a diplomatic manner, demonstrating empathy and understanding
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide creative solutions
  • Familiarity with PC systems for order placement, pricing, and distribution, as well as obtaining information relative to customers, orders, and products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B customer support, providing service to commercial or industrial customers
  • Knowledge of paint and coatings industry, or similar technical field
  • Certifications or training in customer service, sales, or a related field
