Job Summary

As an Expeditor at American Airlines, you will be responsible for coordinating with external vendors, managing inventory, and ensuring the timely delivery of aircraft parts and materials.   • Communicate with suppliers to provide updates on past-due orders and resolve any issues that may impact delivery.
  • Manage maintenance and transportation schedules, as well as inventory reports, to determine material requirements and optimize stock levels.
  • Provide transportation and delivery information to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including FMR (Flight Management Records) and log pages, with current vehicle information.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, status updates, and dashboards to enhance visibility and inform decision-making.
  • Assist buyers with order inquiries, provide status updates, and facilitate communication with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve discrepancies in transportation, invoicing, quality, and part numbers.
  • Support What Bosses in resolving receipt issues and work with suppliers to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management).
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in expeditor or stockroom work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and other applications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and proactively.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in expeditor or logistics work, with a focus on aviation or aerospace.
