Job Summary
As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for performing clerical and data entry tasks to support the Adult Education office. Your primary focus will be on maintaining accurate record-keeping, ensuring data organization, and meeting deadlines. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless data management, reporting, and analysis. This is a full-time remote opportunity, offering a flexible work environment and competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Manage multiple databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and data organization, with a focus on attention to detail and data integrity.
- Grant Data Entry: Enter required grant data accurately into NRS to meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices for attendance and assessment data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Data Security: Maintain required security of student data in compliance with FERPA, demonstrating a strong understanding of data confidentiality and security protocols.
- Error Checks and Data Clean-up: Complete regular error checks and data clean-up in NRS to ensure accurate reporting, identifying and resolving data discrepancies as needed.
- Data Accessibility: Ensure data is accessible in a timely manner to staff and other stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Task Organization and Prioritization: Organize and prioritize tasks to meet all local, state, and program deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
- Student Outcomes Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, including pre/post testing with state-mandated assessments, providing insights and recommendations to support program improvement.
- Administrative Support: Participate in staff meetings and professional development, scan documents and label items, inventory supplies, perform basic word processing, organize digital files and materials, prepare mailings, and assist with filing.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED required.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, MS Office Software, and Excel.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy, plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Communicate effectively, work cooperatively with others, and work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Experience: Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with NRS and FERPA regulations.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
