Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic counsel and guidance to business leaders on a wide range of legal issues, including digital product development, data analytics, and intellectual property
• Develop and implement intellectual property portfolio strategies that align with Walgreens' business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and technology, to drive business outcomes
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues, identifying potential risks and opportunities
• Draft and review complex legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory submissions
• Manage and coordinate with external counsel, as needed
• Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and developments in digital products, data analytics, and intellectual property

Essential Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• At least 5 years of post-bar attorney experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings
• Licensure to practice law in at least one state
• Illinois bar membership or active bar participation in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Proven experience in providing strategic counsel and guidance to business leaders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the retail pharmacy or healthcare industry
• Familiarity with digital products, data analytics, and intellectual property
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
