Job Overview and Responsibilities
As a Home Care Aide with HumanGood, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to seniors in their private residences. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while also promoting their independence and participation in social activities. You will work closely with our residents, their families, and our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to each resident's unique needs and interests.
- Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, dining, and light housekeeping
- Escort residents to medical and social appointments, store, or run errands as needed
- Assist with planning and participation in social activities, such as reading, television, and other hobbies
- Develop awareness of residents' interests and needs, and assist them in maximizing their independence and participation
- Maintain accurate records of residents' daily activities, progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise
- Provide effective customer service skills, meeting the standards and culture expectations of HumanGood
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or senior living setting, preferably as a Home Care Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a strong focus on resident-centered care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and needs
- Basic computer skills, with ability to input resident information and maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be highly valued:
- Certification as a Home Care Aide or CNA, with current certification in CPR and first aid
- Experience working with seniors with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and company policies, procedures, and practices
- Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on languages commonly spoken by our residents
- Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $16.50-$17.50 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to your hourly wage, you will be eligible for a range of perks and benefits, including:
