Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of Walgreens Health data and insights drives and projects. You will support long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities to meet Walgreens Health reporting and analytics expectations. Your expertise in data management, analytics, and automation will be essential in driving business decisions and improving healthcare quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of Walgreens Health data and insights drives and projects
  • Support long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities to meet Walgreens Health reporting and analytics expectations
  • Design, develop, and deploy layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics projects
  • Create data staging and pre-processing rules for populating sensible and actual data models attached to report-specific working tables for both enterprise business intelligence and pre-defined reporting arrangements
  • Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal Walgreens production system sources and third-party records
  • Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets (e.g., member eligibility, clinical claims, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS records)
  • Develop internal tools for automation of all improvement-related activities (data processing, QA, data validation, etc.)

Essential Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts
  • Experience designing and deploying intelligently isolated data environments using ETL/ELT services that include but are not limited to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Experience providing thought leadership and presenting tool rationalist semantic data layer enhancements related to BI technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team leadership
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
  • Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts
