About the ChatGPT Enterprise Sales Team

Our ChatGPT Enterprise Sales team is at the forefront of introducing customers to the transformative potential of highly capable AI models. This team embodies a unique blend of technical expertise, visionary thinking, partnership building, and value-driven strategy. As a key member of this team, you will be instrumental in driving opportunities from initial pipeline generation to closure, positioning OpenAI as a thought leader in the AI landscape, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to evolve customers' AI journeys. With ChatGPT Enterprise experiencing rapid global adoption since its launch in August 2023, we are now seeking seasoned Account Directors to join our ranks in New York City, NY, to further expand our customer base and deepen existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Sales Cycles: Guide prospects through their consideration and purchase journeys, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and the value proposition of our AI solutions.
  • Collaborative Strategy Development: Work closely with Account Associates, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success teams to design and execute complex customer evaluations, demos, and pilots that showcase the capabilities of our AI models.
  • Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Accurately forecast pipeline and targets on a weekly basis, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and contributing to the team's strategic planning.
  • Industry Landscape Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to inform product roadmaps and corporate strategies, ensuring OpenAI remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with various departments, including solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering, to foster a cohesive approach to customer engagement and internal growth.
  • Talent Acquisition and Culture Development: Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members and contribute to the evolution of company culture, emphasizing values of innovation, inclusivity, and customer-centricity.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service, preferably in a product-led growth company. A proven track record of achieving revenue targets exceeding $1 million per year for more than six years is essential. Additionally, experience in designing and executing complex deal strategies, supporting the growth of fast-paced, high-performance companies, and leading high-visibility customer events will be highly valued. Your ability to gather, distill, and process complex market intelligence and report on customer success activities will also be crucial.
