Job Overview: Crew Chief, GSE & Facilities

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Engineering professional to join our team as a Crew Chief, GSE & Facilities. This role is an integral part of our Facilities and GSE Maintenance Group within the Technical Operations Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing Plant/Facilities Maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and manuals, and collaborating with Technical Operations maintenance management to drive success. Your expertise and leadership will play a vital role in maintaining our facilities and equipment, ensuring the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Facilities Maintenance and GSE Maintenance staff and vendors for qualifications, experience levels, facilities, parts support, and overall ability to comply with company programs and procedures
  • Provide technical recommendations regarding facilities/GSE division, review contracts and vendor quotes for accuracy and correct work scope
  • Initiate and manage repair work orders for time and material vendors according to established procedures
  • Review vendor invoices for correct work and material charges
  • Advise Station Management regarding facilities/GSE misuse-related damage and accident repair costs
  • Assist local station management, personnel, and vendors with parts procurement and technical expertise to facilitate repairs
  • Collaborate with station personnel and vendors for product improvement and equipment upgrades
  • Provide vendors with guidance to optimize operations and improve cost efficiencies
  • Conduct facilities, GSE station, and vendor audits to ensure compliance with all facilities maintenance and GSE support policies, procedures, and regulations

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The following qualifications and skills are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, mechanical engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in diverse work groups and multiple workspaces
  • 2 years of experience in tracking and reporting work performance and maintenance scheduling programs
  • Ability to read, write, speak fluently, and understand the English and Portuguese languages
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

The following qualifications and skills are preferred, but not required:

  • Licenses in: Fixed Engineer, High-Voltage Electrical, or Plumbing Apprentice
  • Knowledge of: Fire Systems (Wet/Dry), Fuel Systems, Airplane/Car Welding, Carpentry, and Painting
  • Experience with Packed Air Systems Maintenance and TMA (Total Maintenance Agreement) Booking System
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • College or university degree in a relevant field
