Job Summary

As a Remote Customer Care Agent, you'll be working with our customers over the phone, on live chat, and through email to create raving fans for Lighting New York every single day. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to Lighting New York customers via phone, live chat, and email.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work independently to solve unique problems and think creatively to come up with innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and ideas for improving customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and company policies to provide informed support to customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or remote work environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using computers, software applications, and technology (e.g., CRM systems, live chat software).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Familiarity with lighting products or home decor.
  • Multilingual skills (ability to communicate in multiple languages).
  • Previous experience with phone, chat, and email customer service.
  • Certifications or training in customer service, sales, or a related field.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package and benefits, including:

  • $16.00/hour starting salary with a $1/hour increase after 60-day provisional period.

Schedule:

Each shift will be 10 hours (for a 40-hour work week). We offer flexibility in the schedule per day. The following are the open times for each of the 4 days:

  • Saturday: 12:30pm-11pm Eastern time.
  • Sunday: 9am-7:30pm Eastern time.
  • Monday: 10-hour shift between 9:30am-8pm Eastern time.
  • Tuesday: 10-hour shift between 9:30am-8pm Eastern time.
