About Kids First Fort Smith and UAMS
Kids First Fort Smith is a pediatric day healthcare clinic that provides intensive intervention to children diagnosed with medical conditions that place them at risk for developmental delays and disabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality direct patient care to a group of young children, including serving mealtimes, assisting with feeding, diapering, and dressing.
- Offer developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities, promoting a nurturing and engaging environment.
- Follow the direction of the Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS) to deliver individualized developmental services in a manner that is child-centered, family-focused, and evidence-based.
- Create exciting learning environments that apply curriculum to address the objectives contained in each child's treatment plan, promoting cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.
- Collaborate with the ECDS and other team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and their families.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience working in the care of children
- Ability to pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, and submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional education, such as CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Experience working with children with special healthcare needs or developmental delays
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and curriculum for young children

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $31,200.00, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
