About the Community Engagement Coordinator Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a critical role in building relationships with the local community, raising awareness about PRG, and developing fundraising strategies to support our mission. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for community engagement and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Regional Manager in developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive community engagement program to create brand awareness and increase fundraising through community events.
- Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to ensure that the Cincinnati region is well-represented on PRG's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Assist with monthly in-person peer support events for PRG clients, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to connect and share their experiences.
- Build relationships with key strategic networks in the region, including schools, businesses, chambers, and other community organizations, to promote PRG's mission and services.
- Plan and execute fundraising events with community partners, leveraging your creativity and resourcefulness to drive engagement and support.
- Represent PRG at regional community events, including nights and weekends, to raise awareness and build relationships with potential supporters.
- Recruit volunteers, create volunteer opportunities, and manage the volunteer community, including developing and maintaining a volunteer ambassador program.
- Utilize technology and data to inform the Development team of engagement strategies and record the success of each touchpoint within the Raiser's Edge database.
- Manage relationships and track fundraising progress, providing regular updates and insights to the Regional Manager and other stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a focus on communications, marketing, non-profit management, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in community engagement, fundraising, or a related field, with a proven track record of success and a strong network of contacts.
- Impressive ability to develop relationships and work with community-based organizations, with a strong understanding of the Cincinnati community and its needs.
- Proven fundraising success and the ability to work productively and discreetly with sensitive issues and confidential information.
- Self-starter, innovator, and results-driven, with the ability to meet short- and long-term business goals and objectives.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks with deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach and excellent listening skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, with familiarity with Raiser's Edge a plus.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 25 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet for various events, with a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.

- Experience working with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising software, with a strong understanding of data management and analysis.

- Experience with event planning and execution, with a focus on fundraising and community engagement.
- Strong understanding of non-profit management and fundraising principles, with a commitment to best practices and ethics.
