The Content Creator will play a crucial role in aiding instructors in creating and migrating content for online assessments. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating randomized electrical engineering technology problems in an online assessment platform, ensuring the accuracy and robustness of these problems, and maintaining the confidentiality of course and assessment content. This position requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating new or modifying existing electrical engineering technology assessment problems to meet the needs of instructors and students.
- Inputting problems into an online assessment platform, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Verifying the accuracy and robustness of problems in the online assessment platform, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Collaborating with instructors and other team members to ensure that content meets the required standards and is aligned with course objectives.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of course and assessment content, demonstrating trustworthiness and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
- Be pursuing a major in electrical engineering technology or electrical engineering, demonstrating a strong foundation in the principles and practices of the field.
- Be able to commit to working 10-20 hours per week for 8-16 weeks, with the flexibility to work remotely from within the US.
- Possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and improve, with a willingness to adapt to new software, technologies, and workflows as needed.
- Have passed ECET 27700 or equivalent (Steady State AC Circuit Analysis) with an A or B grade, demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
