About the Role: Data Analyst - Business Intelligence Developer and Automation
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst - Business Intelligence Developer and Automation Specialist to join our team remotely. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, you will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing large data sets using statistical techniques and tools to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies. Your expertise will assist management in making informed business decisions, and you will play a critical role in delivering data and reporting products to support the establishment of a mature Large Financial Institution (LFI) risk program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Gather, organize, and sort data to develop moderately complex data models for the department, business unit staff, and other stakeholders. Access structured and unstructured systems across the organization, utilizing coding efforts where needed to meet testing requirements. Provide effective and timely communications on findings.
- Systems Support & Governance: Develop and maintain databases and systems ensuring data is in a readable, organized format. Remove corrupted data and correct coding errors and related problems. Troubleshoot department information systems in a timely and effective manner as needed. Identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
- Reporting: Analyze and produce reporting for management and other stakeholders regarding the Bank's risks, trends, patterns, and exceptions. Assist senior management with compiling, preparing, and completing committee presentations, annual audit plan, and risk assessments.
- Operational Support: Provide support for the department regarding technical inquiries by coordinating with external vendors or internal subject matter experts.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Banking, financial or other directly related industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Banking, financial or other directly related industry
- Required Skills:
- Spreadsheet and database knowledge
- Able to analyze and visualize large sets of data
- Able to create and apply accurate algorithms to datasets to identify solutions
- Knowledge of programming languages including but not limited to SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, Python
- Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages/applications used to analyze data sets
- Proficiency in SQL
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Tableau or PowerBI
- 5+ years experience in Risk Management

- Competitive salary: The base pay for this position is generally between $98,000 to $140,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
