Job Summary

As a Full Time Virtual Clinical Educator, you'll utilize your professional clinical skills to provide high-touch support to patients and foster strong relationships through empathy and clinical experience. You'll engage with patients and providers to offer expert, clinically relevant counsel and support the new therapy regimen. Your goal will be to manage a series of touch points with patients, uncovering barriers and internal motivators, and guiding them through their program journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Engagement and Support: Serve as the single point of contact for patients throughout their treatment process, providing personalized support and education.
  • Disease Education and Product Overview: Provide disease education, product overview, device training, and side effect management to patients and their support networks.
  • Motivational Interviewing and Coaching: Utilize motivational interviewing tools to anticipate and address patient barriers, and personalize patient messaging to encourage initiation and adherence to therapy.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with patients, brand, and operations partners to ensure the success of the program, and communicate effectively with healthcare providers and support teams.
  • Patient Empowerment and Education: Create patient empowerment through a series of "wow" engagements along the patient journey, and provide ongoing education and therapy support to patients and their support networks.
  • Health Coaching and Adherence Support: Provide health coaching throughout the journey to support adherence and compliance to medication, and assist patients with access and affordability issues.
  • Program Management and Reporting: Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner that is compliant with all VMS, client, and industry mandated rules and regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse License: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
  • Telephonic Patient Support Experience: Previous experience in a telephonic patient support environment, including use of an inbound/outbound call system, with seamless warm transfers.
  • Patient Education Experience: Experience in patient education, including infusion or injection experience.
  • Compassion and Emotional Intelligence: Compassion, high emotional intelligence, and a passion for patient education.
  • Strong Communication and Written Skills: Strong communication and written skills to a variety of audiences, and experience working with a treatment team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical Experience: Experience working for or contracting with a pharmaceutical company.
  • Motivational Interviewing and Coaching: Experience in motivational interviewing and coaching behavior change.
  • Technology Skills: High level of comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office products, working on dual monitors, CRM, and strong typing skills.
