Job Overview

• Location: Remote with potential for in-person teaching
• Start Date: Immediate opening available

Key Responsibilities

• Teach high school business courses in a blended or online format as required by administration
• Develop and deliver comprehensive instruction based on the needs of students using student data
• Create instructional groups and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
• Incorporate technology seamlessly into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding
• Assess student progress using rubrics and other assessment tools
• Foster a collaborative learning environment that promotes student interaction and teamwork
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and incorporate best practices in teaching and learning
• Work as part of a team to achieve district and school goals

Essential Qualifications

• Valid PA Secondary Business certification
• Thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of secondary school-aged students
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators
• Understanding of and ability to teach the approved curriculum
• Knowledge of student development at the secondary school level
• Ability to develop instructional groups and deliver comprehensive instruction based on student data

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a high school business teacher
• Experience incorporating technology into lessons
• Training in Differentiated Instruction, Assessment, Collaborative Learning, Learning Styles, and Integrated Curriculum
• Experience with data interpretation for classroom and school improvement planning
