About the Role

As a Clinic Autism/ABA Therapist at Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our clinic-based setting provides a supportive environment for you to grow professionally while delivering exceptional services to our clients. We're seeking motivated and passionate professionals, both experienced and entry-level, to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) ABA therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum, tailored to their individual needs and goals.
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans and progress monitoring.
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and treatment plans as directed by the BCBA Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy, ensuring best practices in service delivery.
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to reliability and punctuality.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as a Clinic Autism/ABA Therapist at Key Autism Services, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology).
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably with ABA/RBT experience.
  • If no direct ABA experience, 1-2 years of experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle, as well as auto insurance to travel between clients (for some positions).
  • The physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, perform fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time.
  • A willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, responding quickly to the movements and behaviors of children.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills can enhance your application:

  • RBT certification or willingness to obtain certification through our 40-hour training course.
  • Experience using Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans with youth and families.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Proficiency in data collection and reporting, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
