Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful implementation of lesson plans written by classroom teachers, using a variety of instructional strategies to engage and encourage participation of students
  • Take student attendance according to school policy and keep track of students' assignments and document any useful information for the classroom teacher
  • Report any incidents regarding students' behavior in and out of the classroom and maintain a safe classroom environment for students
  • Perform other assigned teacher duties, as needed, to support the school's mission and goals
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in education and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with a minimum of two years of teaching, substitute teaching experience, or commensurate experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with using technology in the classroom, including Google suite and Blackbaud
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
