Job Overview

We are looking for professional, responsive, and empathetic tutors who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the educational journey of our students. As a tutor with Bee Tutored, you will have the opportunity to work with students from kindergarten to 12th grade, providing individualized instruction in a variety of subjects, including test prep for exams such as SHSAT, ISEE, TACHS, SAT, and ACT. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects, including English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics
• Collaborate with students, parents, and teachers to develop customized programs that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style
• Offer test prep tutoring for exams such as SHSAT, ISEE, TACHS, SAT, and ACT, with a focus on ELA and math for 4th and 7th grades
• Provide feedback and progress updates to parents and students after each session to ensure student progress and achievement
• Travel to Brooklyn or Manhattan (specifically Upper West Side) for in-person tutoring sessions
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in tutoring and test prep

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have a strong tutoring or education background with at least 2+ years of tutoring experience
• Have strong tutoring skills in both ELA and math, as well as test prep experience with exams such as SHSAT, ISEE, TACHS, SAT, and ACT
• Be willing to tutor in-person (remote tutoring is not an option)
• Be able to travel to Brooklyn or Manhattan (specifically Upper West Side) for tutoring sessions
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and teachers

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Certification as a teacher or educator
• Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
• Strong knowledge of New York State Tests and curriculum
• Ability to speak multiple languages (a plus, but not required)
