About the Role: Online Math Tutor for American Mathematical Competition (AMC)

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Online Math Tutor to join our team and contribute to the success of our students in the American Mathematical Competition (AMC). As an Online Math Tutor with LingoAce, you will have the opportunity to teach students in grade five, primarily based in the USA, and help them excel in their math skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cover all areas of AMC exam preparation, ensuring students are well-equipped to tackle challenging problems.
• Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve their skills and achieve their goals.
• Utilize online platforms and tools to communicate with students, provide instruction, and deliver assessments, creating a seamless and effective learning experience.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement, motivation, and success.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or Technology.
• Experience teaching AMC 8 or 10 and helping students prepare for the exams.
• Native English speaker from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Access to a reliable computer and high-speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong background in mathematics, particularly in areas such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics.
• Familiarity with the format and content of the AMC exams, as well as the strategies and techniques needed to solve challenging problems quickly and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work with students of different levels and learning styles.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
