About the Role: Polysomnographic Instructor - Substitute Faculty

As a Polysomnographic Instructor - Substitute Faculty, you'll play a vital role in delivering our polysomnography programs, ensuring that our students receive the best possible education. This remote role offers the flexibility and freedom to work from anywhere, while making a meaningful impact on the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instructional Duties:
    • Teach classes as assigned, preparing for each session by organizing and familiarizing yourself with student materials.
    • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and course materials to engage students and promote academic success.
    • Objectively assess student performance, providing regular and constructive feedback to support their growth.
    • Utilize instructional plans and approved student materials, supplementing as needed to ensure comprehensive coverage of course content.
    • Maintain the security of assessment tools and confidential documentation, adhering to established protocols.
    • Effectively monitor and utilize learning management systems to facilitate student learning.
  • Student Interaction:
    • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting a positive tone and promoting professionalism.
    • Provide regular feedback to students on their academic performance, grades, professionalism, conduct, and attendance.
    • Proactively identify and address student concerns, referring them to the Program Director or Academic Dean as needed.
    • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance, ensuring compliance with published attendance policies.
    • Facilitate tutoring and makeup work as needed, monitoring student participation and progress.
  • Related Duties:
    • Participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities, staying current with industry standards and best practices.
    • Attend orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled, contributing to a positive and collaborative campus culture.
    • Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies, attending as requested and participating in student and campus activities.
    • Maintain classrooms and equipment, reporting any issues or concerns to the Program Director or Academic Dean.
    • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the team.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of three years of related practical work experience in the occupational field associated with the training provided (ACCSC).
  • Certification or licensure where required by law (ACCSC).
  • A national credential in Polysomnography (CoA-PSG).
  • Knowledgeable in course content and effective in teaching assigned subjects (CoA-PSG).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in online education, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction.
  • A degree or certification in a related field, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
