Job Overview

The Mid-Level Financial Analyst II will play a critical role in validating and approving aviation invoices for fire suppression services, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a strong foundation in financial analysis, governmental accounting, and business management, with the ability to extract, review, and analyze complex data to prepare reports and make informed recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert support in processing vendor invoices, including aviation and non-aviation invoicing, to ensure timely and accurate payment.
• Analyze and review alpha-numerical information to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for corrective actions.
• Organize and manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and ensuring seamless execution of financial processes.
• Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets, reports, and analyses to support business decisions and financial planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support, and to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Provide subject matter expertise and leadership-level work for administration, business management, or financial process functions, and train and present to colleagues and management levels as needed.
• Create, review, and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, and provide senior-level support for financial process functions or systems.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• A minimum of three years of specific governmental accounting, business management, or budget experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a recognized financial field, such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial management systems, such as SAP, FBMS, PRISM, or equivalent systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract, review, and analyze complex data and develop informed recommendations.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
