The Role: First Notice of Loss (FNOL) Customer Service Representative

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team as a First Notice of Loss (FNOL) Specialist. As an FNOL Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for inbound calls from engineers, technicians, and other field operators reporting damage to our clients' properties. Your role will be crucial in providing quality customer service, accurately recording FNOL claims, and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accept inbound calls from field operators and effectively communicate with them to gather necessary information regarding FNOL claims.
  • Accurately enter data into our customized database, ensuring all details are captured and recorded correctly.
  • Report underground damage to locate companies when applicable, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide outstanding service to customer representatives, addressing their queries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Analyze photos and map the correct location of damage, utilizing your analytical skills to determine the extent of the damage.
  • Work on special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess certain skills and qualifications. Here's what we're looking for:

  • A minimum typing speed of 55 words per minute, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to navigate PDF files and perform internet searches efficiently.
  • Advanced phone and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers.
  • Active listening skills, ensuring you capture all necessary information during calls.
  • Excellent written and reading communication skills, with the ability to follow scripts and analyze information.
  • The capability to analyze and interpret photos to determine the extent of damage.
  • Establish a dedicated workspace within your home, ensuring a productive work environment. blithequark will provide the necessary computer equipment.

Experience and Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with a background in customer service, particularly those with experience in call center environments.

  • 6 months to 1 year of previous customer service call center experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams is considered a plus, though not mandatory.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

The tiered support bonus system offers bonuses ranging from $105 to $205 per pay period, based on total fees generated across the company. Additionally, the FNOL Incentive Program provides an opportunity to earn $10 daily for meeting talk time, not ready time, and service level standards.
