About the position
Responsibilities
• Use GIS/CAD software to support electric distribution projects and data maintenance.
• Reference as-builts, work management logs, and other documentation to update GIS data.
• Identify data inconsistencies and communicate with appropriate resources for accurate data updates.
• Obtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipality levels.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
Requirements
• 30 hours completed in a GIS program at an accredited university, or a B.S. degree with enrollment in a GIS certification program, or 2 years of applicable work experience.
• Knowledge of Client Standards preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in GIS software such as Small World, Esri Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, ArcWeb services, ArcGIS Server), QGIS.
• Experience in CAD software such as Bentley Systems (MicroStation), Autodesk (AutoCAD, Maya, Civil 3D).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, etc.).
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with electric distribution projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
