About the Role
As an Incline Specialist, you will be part of a creative group dedicated to ensuring that our clients' baggage and freight arrive safely and on time, driving a positive client experience. This role is critical to Delta Airlines' success, and we are looking for individuals who share our values and are committed to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Securely lift, load, dump, and transport baggage, mail, and freight to and from aircraft, ensuring on-time connections by directing incoming and outgoing aircraft from gate positions.
- Protect freight, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
- Safely operate and drive ground equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors, in congested areas.
- Repeatedly lift and burden baggage onto trucks to ensure each bag reaches its destination.
- Utilize baggage scanners and computers to ensure items and freight are routed correctly to the passenger's destination.
- Practice security-conscious behaviors in every operational process and procedure.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- The ability to frequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
- The ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- The ability to work a fixed or rotating schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, in all weather conditions.
