We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Associate - Building Supplies to join our team. As a Retail Associate, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-stocked and organized store environment, and driving sales growth. As a Retail Associate - Building Supplies, your key responsibilities will include:- Providing exceptional customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining a well-stocked and organized store environment, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and ensuring that all products are easily accessible to customers
- Processing orders and deliveries accurately and efficiently, and validating the loading of tickets
- Ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting any safety concerns or incidents
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals, drive business results, and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Staying up-to-date on product knowledge, including features, benefits, and applications, to provide expert guidance to customers
- Participating in visual merchandising, including setting up displays, and ensuring that the store is visually appealing
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Retail Associate - Building Supplies at Lowe's, you'll need:- A high school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
- 6 months of experience working with computers, including inputting, accessing, revising, or displaying digital information
- 6 months of experience in the retail industry, including using smartphones and tablets in retail operations
- The ability to lift 25 pounds independently, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
- The ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and move around the store
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates with:- Sales experience, including selling products, credit cards, installations, and add-ons
- Experience in customer service, including managing queries, helping customers locate products, and cultivating relationships
- Bilingual proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Certification in various trades, including hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials
