Job Overview

As a Seasonal Backcountry Bike Gearhead, you'll be responsible for providing concierge-level service to our riders and customers. This role requires extensive bike and parts knowledge, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. You'll work alongside a motivated team of riders who share your passion for cycling, and have the opportunity to build your product knowledge through training and assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, chat, and email
  • Assist riders with general product questions and help them build their dream bike
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
  • Solve problems, answer questions about orders, returns, shipping, and order status
  • Contact customers via follow-up to ensure satisfaction
  • Learn and master our processes and systems to meet customers' needs
  • Work collaboratively with a motivated and fun team of riders
  • Develop your product knowledge through training and assisting customers
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Good baseline knowledge of bike parts, bike industry, bike apparel, and bike equipment
  • Passion for cycling and helping others
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer operating skills and ability to multitask
  • Schedule flexibility, including weekends and evenings until 10:00 pm
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers
  • Active listening and effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the cycling industry
  • Customer service and sales experience
  • Knowledge of mountain, road, adventure, and other types of bikes
