About Us and This Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Allegro PCB Layout Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Senior Allegro PCB Layout Designer, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality PCB layouts from electrical schematics, net-lists, mechanical input, and associated detail documents using Allegro design software. Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead PCB designs, ensuring quality, efficiency, and manufacturability, while reporting to the Director of Operations or Program Manager.
- Handle multiple tasks and provide support for assigned tasks, demonstrating a strong ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Utilize the Cadence Allegro design toolset to route single-ended and differential-pairs based on engineering inputs and board mechanical profiles.
- Load Net lists using Allegro and generate layout reports daily/weekly for customers and Operations.
- Work primarily from home but be willing to work occasionally on-site at a customer location, adapting to changing requirements and schedules as needed.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of HDI technology and design practices, with experience in high-speed digital, Analog, and rigid PCB designs.
- Apply basic Schematics knowledge and be familiar with Industry Design Standards such as ANSI, IPC, and ITAR.
- Proactively identify problems and provide solutions or recommendations in a dynamic work environment.
- Interpret and follow design constraints encompassing differential pairs, impedance control, high speed, EMI, and ESD.
- Collaborate with customers and FCS engineering to ensure compliance with Manufacturing Design Standards.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 3 years of layout experience and 3 years of Allegro current experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Allegro tool suite, with secondary knowledge of Altium or Mentor tools suites considered a plus.
- Good understanding of HDI technology and experience with high-speed digital, Analog, in rigid PCB, with experience in Flex and Rigid-Flex designs a plus.
- Basic computer literacy with Windows-based applications such as Microsoft EXCEL, Microsoft Word, Notepad.
- Experience and willingness to use SKILL script automation such as dalTools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and positive team player with the ability to work from home with minimal supervision.
